Objective:In this study,we are to investigate the level of serum PTX3 in patients with ACS and to analyzed the correlation between PTX3 and MMP-9 and the degree of coronary artery stenosis. Moreover,we are to provide a preliminary basis for further elucidation of the mechanism of PTX3 involved in vulnerable plaque. Methods:In the study,we examined 143 patients from June 20l6 to December 2016 at the department of Cardiology in the first Hospital affiliated to nanhua, who underwent coronary angiograghy(CAG).There were 107 patients diagnosed with ACS according to the clinical manifestation?laboratory characteristics and the result of CAG.ACS group with 107 patients consists of 40 patients with Unstable angina pectoris(UA)and 25 patients with non-ST elevated myocardial infarction(NSTEMI)and 42 patients with ST elevated myocardial infarction(STEMI).At the same time,43 patients with negative diagnosis by coronary angiography and electrocardiogram exercise test were selected as control group. All patients were examined immediately after admission to check the level of serum hs-CRP,MMP-9 and PTX3 and so on.We evaluate the degree of coronary artery stenosis in all patients by Gensini scoring system.Results:1.The levels of HDL-C,LDL-C and TC in the ACS group were significantly higher than those in the control group(p<0.001).However,the comparison of baseline clinical characteristic such as age, sex, hypertension, diabetes, smokingandTGamong control and ACS groups have no obvious statistical difference(p>0.05).2.The level of serum PTX3,hs-CRP and MMP-9 in the ACS group were significantly higher than those in the control group(p<0.001).3.The level of serum PTX3,hs-CRP and MMP-9 in STEMI group were significantly higher than those in UA group(p<0.001).The level of serum PTX3,hs-CRP and MMP-9 in the NSTEMI group were significantly higher than those in the UA group(p<0.001).However,there were no significant differences in the level of serum PTX3,hs-CRP and MMP-9 between NSTEMI group and STEMI group(p >0.05).4.There was a positive correlation between PTX3 and MMP-9(p<0.05),and there was a positive correlation between hs-CRP and MMP-9(p<0.05).5.The level of serum hs-CRP was a positive correlated with Gensini scores in patients with ACS(p<0.05),the level of serum PTX3 and MMP-9 were not significant differences in patients with ACS(p>0.05).Conclusion:1.The levels of serum PTX3 and MMP-9 were elevated in patients with ACS,and the level of serum PTX3 was positively correlated with MMP-9 in patients with ACS.2.There was no significant correlation between the level of serum PTX3,MMP-9 and Gensini score in patients with ACS,butthe level of serum hs-CRP was positively correlated with Gensini scores in patients with ACS.
