Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of ultrasound-guided transversus abdominis plane(TAP)block combined with rectus sheath(RS)block block in patients undergone peritoneal dialysis catheterization surgery. Methods After obtaining approval from the Hospital Ethics Committee and informed written consent from all patients,32 patients undergone peritoneal dialysis catheterization surgery for chronic renal failure were chosen for the study. All the patients were received ultrasound-guided transversus abdominis plane block and rectus sheath block before surgery. The artery blood pressure, heart rate, visual analogue scores(VAS),side effect and complications were recorded for the patients. The satisfaction degree of the surgeons for the anesthesia effect wasResults All patients were successfully completed the surgery under the TAP block combined with RS block. The hemodynamics of all the patients’ were stable. The analgesic effect was good.No significant side effect and complication was seen during intraoperative and perioperative period. The surgeons were satisfied with the analgesic effect of TAP block combined with RS block. Conclusions Ultrasound-guided tansversus abdominis plane block combined with rectus sheath block may be an attractive option for anesthetic management forperitoneal dialysis catheterization surgery.
