Objective: To determine the relationship between blood flow parameters of ovarian artery and pregnancy outcome of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET),and evaluate their values applied in predicting pregnancy outcome of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer.Methods: A total of 204 IVF-ET patients were enrolled and divided into pregnancy group and non-pregnancy group according to their pregnancy outcomes.Firstly,blood flow parameters including RI,PI and S/D were compared between pregnancy group and non-pregnancy group using Independent-Samples T Test;blood flow parameters were then grouped into 4 grades(Grade 1: ? Q1,Grade 2: > Q1 and ? Q2,Grade 3: > Q2 and? Q3,and Grade 4: > Q3)according to Q1,Q2 and Q3 of blood flow parameters of non-pregnancy group,the relationship between blood flow parameters and pregnancy outcome of IVF-ET was analyzed with Logistic regression;and lastly the values of blood flow parameters applied in predicting pregnancy outcome were evaluated with ROC curves.Results: 1.Both RI and PI at the second day of menstruation(d2 day)and the day of HCG injection(HCG day)were lower in the pregnancy group than in the non-pregnancy group(P<0.05).2.Multivariate analysis showed that RI ? Q2(0.56)and PI ? Q2(0.78)at d2 day,and RI ? Q2(0.51)and PI ? Q2(0.75)at HCG day were independent predictors for pregnancy outcome of IVF-ET after controlling other related factors.3.The values were moderate when RI ? Q2(0.56)and PI ? Q2(0.78)at d2 day,and RI ?Q2(0.51)and PI ? Q2(0.75)were independently applied in predicting pregnancy outcome(the area under ROC curve >0.700),and the sensitivity was relatively high(>90.00%),and accuracy,positive predictive value and negative predictive value were moderate,and false negative rate and false positive rate were acceptable;however,the specificity was low.4.Combination of RI or PI at different times had similar predictive values compared with independent predicting.5.Combination of RI and PI at d2 and HCG day,and combination of RI and PI at different times had high predictive values(the area under ROC curve is approximate to 0.800),and the sensitivity,accuracy and positive predictive value were relatively high,false negative rate was low,and negative predictive value and false negative rate were acceptable,and the specificity was especially improved(>70.00%).Conclusions: RI ? Q2(0.56)and PI ? Q2(0.78)at d2 day,and RI ? Q2(0.51)and PI ?Q2(0.75)at HCG day were independent predictors for pregnancy outcome of IVF-ET after controlling other related factors;in clinical practice,RI and PI might be combined to predict pregnancy outcome of IVF-ET,and the predictive value was relatively high(approximate to 0.800),and the sensitivity,accuracy and positive predictive value were relatively high,false negative rate was low,and negative predictive value and false negative rate were acceptable,and the specificity was especially improved(>70.00%).
