Objective: To investigate the value of Real-Time elastography(RTE)combined with contrast enhanced ultrasound(CEUS)in the differential diagnosis of TI-RADS benign and malignant thyroid nodules of 4 types. Methods: A total of 90 patients with 103 TI-RADS thyroid nodules of 4 types undergoing conventional two-dimensional ultrasound diagnosis were given RTE and CEUS examinations.Receive Operating Characteristics(ROC)curves of subjects treated with different diagnostic methods alone and combined diagnostic methods were drawn and the area under the curve(AUC)were compared,to evaluate the diagnostic effectiveness of two methods used alone and together. Results: Among 103 TI-RADS nodules of four types,55 cases were malignant and 48 benign. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of RTE in the diagnosis of thyroid cancer were 76.36%,72.92% and 74.76%,respectively.The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of CEUS in the diagnosis of thyroid cancer were 85.45%,75% and 80.59%,respectively.The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of combined RTE and CEUS in the diagnosis of thyroid cancer were 76.36%,89.58% and 82.53%,respectively.Analysis of AUC using z test to compare the diagnostic accuracy, the AUC is:combined diagnosis> CEUS> RTE,and the difference between combined diagnostic method with RTE in ROC was statistically significant(P=0.0022).Conclusion: The combined use of RTE and CEUS can make up for the deficiency of single diagnostic method, and effectively improve the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant TI-RADS nodules of 4 types.
