Objective To study the effect of acute partial sleep deprivation on the cardiovascular system of clinicians and to explore the correlation between sleep deprivation and cardiovascular disease. Methods We studied 41 healthy Department of Cardiology doctors, the average age is about(26.93 + 2.08)years,27 males,14 females, subjects with sleep deprivation(24 hours)and the normal sleep rest days(weekends and on duty day intervals for at least 3 days)for 24 hour dynamic 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure and electrocardiogram examination, select all the dynamic ECG data meet the subject requirements and ambulatory blood pressure measurement data with efficiency higher than 80% of its control study, analysis and comparison of normal sleep(Normal sleep, referred to as NS)and partial sleep deprivation(Sleep deprivation, referred to as SD)and the changes of blood pressure and ECG dynamic correlation dynamic condition.Results(1)Acute partial sleep deprivation,AHR(average heart rate),AC(heart rate acceleration),LF/HF(LF / HF)ratio was significantly higher than that in normal sleep day[AHR/bpm:SD 78± 7 vs normal NS 72±6,LF/H: SD 3.49±1.56 vs NS 2.58±1.39,AC/ms:SD-8.53±1.34 vs NS-9.04±1.32,P<0.05];on the contrary,DC(heart rate deceleration force),SDNN,SDANN,pNN50 decreased,VLF and HF compared to the normal sleep [ VLF/ms2:SD 2965.3±1165.7 vs NS 3484.5±1426.8,HF/ms2:SD 342.3±187.4 vs NS 516.8±292.6,DC/ms:SD 7.53±0.97 vs NS 7.99±1.10,SDNN/ms:SD 150±31 vs NS 167±30,SDANN/ms:SD 135±32 vs NS148±32,pNN50 /ms:SD 14±8 vs NS 20±10;P < 0.05].(2)The changes of DRs before and after sleep deprivation: DR2 decreased significantly when compared with normal sleep [DR2:SD 8.11±1.77 vs NS 9.28±2.07,P < 0.001],while DR4,DR5,DR6,DR7 and DR8 increased compared with normal sleep[DR4:SD 0.97±0.28 vs NS 0.80±0.24,DR5:SD 0.44±0.13 vs NS 0.35±0.14,DR6:SD 0.21±0.08 vs NS 0.17±0.09,DR7:SD 0.09±0.03 vs NS 0.07±0.04,DR8:SD 0.0394±0.0182 vs NS0.0279±0.0164,P < 0.05].(3)DC was positively correlated with VLF,LF,HF,SDNN,RMSSD and pNN50,but negatively correlated with AHR.AC was negatively correlated with VLF,LF,HF,SDNN,RMSSD and pNN50,and positively correlated with AHR.(4)The daytime and nighttime systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure after 24 hours of acute sleep deprivation were higher than that of the normal rest day,the nocturnal blood pressure variability increased and the nocturnal diastolic pressure load increased after sleep deprivation. Conclusion The changes of HRV,DC,AC and DRs after acute partial sleep deprivation are considered to be related to the low excitability of vagus nerve, and also increase sympathetic nerve excitability.Acute partial sleep deprivation is a risk factor for the onset of hypertension and may lead to an increased risk of cardiovascular events.
