ObjectiveAnalysis of external anal sphincter electromyography(EAS-EMG)characteristics and Unified Multiple System Atrophy Rating Scale(UMSARS)of 35 cases of multiple system atrophy(MSA)was carried out,to guide the early diagnosis of MSA,to provide the reference for the clinical work.MethodAccording to MSA diagnostic criteria, collect 35 ward patients to take for EAS-EMG and UMSARS examination.Selection the average time, average amplitude, polyphase wave percentage and area of motor unit action potential(MUAP)and the number of satellite potential as evaluated indexes.Check each index of EAS-EMG and UMSARS-I.II.IV of correlation analysis.According to the UMSARS-III autonomic nervous dysfunction with or without grouping, check each index between the two groups differences(P<0.05).Combined with literature review, summarizes different levels and stages in MSA patients.Result1.In 35 patients with MSA,UMSARS-I was only significantly correlated with the average time of MUAP,and there was no significant correlation between UMSARS-I and the average amplitude, the percentage of multiple phase waves, the area of MUAP and the number of satellite.(P<0.05).2.UMSARS-II was only significantly correlated with the average time of MUAP,and there was no significant correlation between UMSARS-II and the average amplitude, the percentage of multiple phase waves, the area of MUAP and the number of satellite.(P<0.05).3.Average time, average amplitude, polyphase wave percentage, area of MUAP and the number of satellite potential with MSA had no significant difference between the negative group and the positive group in autonomic nervous dysfunction.4.UMSARS-IV was only significantly correlated with the average time of MUAP,and there was no significant correlation between UMSARS-IV and the average amplitude, the percentage of multiple phase waves, the area of MUAP and the number of satellite.(P<0.05).Conclusion 1.EAS-EMG examination can provide reliable basis for early diagnosis of MSA,UMSARS can reflect the severity and progression of MSA accurately.2.EAS-EMG examination of the average time limit of MUAP can reflect the severity and progression of MSA,combined with UMSARS scale for MSA patients with disease diagnosis, evaluation, and timely and effective treatment is of great significance.
