Application Study Of Quantitative Parameters Of Dual-energy Spectral CT In The Differentiation Of Multiple Myeloma And Bone Metastases Of Spines

Objective:To explore the application values of dual-energy spectral CT in differential diagnosis of spinal bone metastasis of lung cancer and spinal lesions of multiple myeloma(MM)by measuring and analyzing the the CT values and slopes of energy spectrum curves of two kinds of lesions on the GSI browser.Methods:Analyzed the clinical datas of the patients with primary lung cancer and multiple myeloma from April 2016 to January 2017 in the Second Hospital Of Shanxi Medical University,Reconstructed the single energy original datas obtained from the scanning into thiner layers with a thickness of 1.25 mm.1,Measured the CT value of each lesion in the area of the 40 ~140keV(energy interval 5keV),2,Drew the energy spectrum curves of different lesions,and calculated the slopes of the energy spectrum curves(this study selects40keV-90 keV as the reference point),which is CT(40keV)-CT(90keV)/(90keV-40keV),the datas were statistically analyzed.Results:(1)The CT values of bone metastasis of lung cancer in 40keV~90keV were higher than that of multiple myeloma,P<0.05,The difference was statistically significant.(2)The median of curve slopes of CT routine scans of bone metastasis of lung cancer was higher than that of multiple myeloma,P<0.05,The difference was statistically significant.(3)There were some differences between the CT values of bone metastasis of lung cancer and that of multiple myeloma in 95keV~140keV,P>0.05,The differences were not statistically significant.Conclusion:The dual-energy spectral CT can accurately measure the CT values and the curve slopes of the bone metastases of lung cancer and multiple myeloma,which providing more valuable quantitative and qualitative informations.The spectrum CT has certain clinical application values in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of bone metastasis of lung cancer and multiple myeloma.
