Ojective:To evaluate the correlation between serum GRP levels and disease activity and pruritus in patients with chronic spontaneous urticaria. Methods:Collected 61 cases of patients with chronic spontaneous urticaria and 59 cases of healthy check-up peripheral blood samples, which patients were derived from the dermatological department of the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University during July 2016 to December 2016.All patients met the inclusion and exclusion criteria.According to UAS7 method assessing the activity in patients, using the VAS assessing itch intensity, using the CU-Q2 oL assessing QoL in the patients, the content of GRP were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)in all the specimens, and by SPSS 22.0 software for statistical analysis, get the correlation between serum GRP levels and activity and pruritus in patients with chronic urticaria. Results:The serum levels of GRP in the CSU patients were 16.30±10.79pg/ml,and those in the healthy controls were 8.41±1.89pg/ml,so the serum levels of GRP in the patients were higher than those in the healthy controls(P<0.05),and positively correlated with the activity scores(r=0.361,P=0.004),as well as the pruritus scores(r=0.344,P=0.007),the QoL scores(r=0.562,P<0.001).There was statistical difference between the duration of pruritus of each day(P < 0.05).Conclusion:The expressions of GRP are elevated in peripheral blood of patients with chronic urticaria, and positively correlated with the activity scores, pruritus scores, daily pruritus duration and the QoL scores. These results suggest that GRP may be related to the pathogenesis of CSU.
