Objective:Compare the efficacy of internal drainage using flexible ureteroscopy and percutaneous nephroscopy to determine which method is more advantageous via collecting clinical cases of parapelvic renal cysts in our hospital, sorting out and searching for clinical data relating to the disease. Methods:Review and analysis of 21 cases(group A)treated by internal drainage using percutaneous nephroscopy and 23 cases(group B)treated by internal drainage using flexible ureteroscopy for treatment of parapelvic cysts at the Armed Police Corps Hospital of Jiangsu Province.Comparing the index of the two groups throughout the treatment and considering the type of data,X2 test or t test was chosen.Results:1.Operations for both groups were successful. One case from group A suffered bleeding because of incorrect puncturing point, but the operation was successful after the puncturing location was changed.Another case had raised body temperature up to 39.0℃,immediate bio-chemical test was run and increased index was indicated on blood test.Considering post-operative infection occured,anti-infective treatment was conducted and then the patient’s body temperature retured to normal.Among group B,one case had increased body temperature, the patient was observed and anti-infective treatment wasconducted, then the patient’s body temperature retured to normal. There was little distinction between the two groups after operations in terms of complications, level of alleviation and reccurent rate(P>0.05).2.Average surgical time for group A(52.95±6.52 min)and group B(54.78±8.44min)was not distinctively different(P>0.05).Average intra-operative bleeding for group A and group B was(28.1±6.4)ml and(18.7±6.5)ml respectively(P<0.01),average time for intestinal function to recover was(36.5±7.7)h and(15.4±2.5)h respectively(P<0.01),average bedridden time was(2.1±0.6)d and(1.4±0.5)d respectively(P<0.01),average hospital staying was(5.3±1.0)d and(3.9±0.7)d respectively(P<0.01).Obviously,treatment for group B was better than that for group A.Conclusion:1.Statistically,there is no point in calculating the surgical time difference between treatment of parapelvic cysts by internal drainage using flexible ureteroscopy and percutaneous nephroscopy. There is no obvious surgical time difference between treatment of parapelvic cysts by internal drainage using percutaneous nephroscopy and Holmium laser through flexible ureteroscopy, which indicates that mini-invasive treatment has been increasingly applied in urology surgery. Both methods have been well developed in treatment of parapelvic cysts.2.Parapelvic cyst treatment by internal drainage using flexible ureteroscopy has an evident edge over treatment by internal drainage using percutaneous nephroscopy in terms of post-operative bleeding, intestinal function recovery, bedridden period and duration of hospitalization.A flexible ureteroscope is operated through the natural channels of the human body,it has advantages such as limiting damage to the body, safer and less painful,so clinicallly it is worthy of advacating and applying.
