Objective: the study aims to investigate the effects of different delivery method on the decompression effects of antihypertensive drugs in essential hypertension. Methods: the selected patients who are regularly taking two or more long-acting oral antihypertensive drugs and his clinic blood pressure is below 140/90 mm Hg.Those patients with finishing 24 h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring changed methods of taking anti-hypertensive drugs at the next day.The patient who regularly took all anti-hypertensive drugs in the morning altered to taking one in the morning, another at4:00-6:00pm or who regularly took one in the afternoon, the rest in the morning altered to taking all in the morning. The duration of study was 8 weeks. Before and after 8 weeks treatment, changes about parameters were compared with 24-hours ambulatory blood pressure. Results: 60 patients with essential hypertension had completelyaccomplished the study. Those were average(64.7±9.4)years old, patients males took up 19 cases(31.7%).Compared with the group taking all antihypertensive drugs in the morning, the group taking drugs in the morning and afternoon separately group has some advantages,24-hours mean systolic blood pressure(24h SBP)(128.15±9.51)mm Hg vs(130.91±10.37)mm Hg,decline(2.76±10.30)mm Hg,t =2.077,P<0.05,daytime mean systolic blood pressure(d SBP)(129.33±9.92)mm Hg vs(132.36±10.34)mm Hg,decline(2.97±10.77)mm Hg,t=2.138,P<0.05,nighttime mean systolic blood pressure(n SBP)(118.90±11.96)mm Hg vs(124.12±13.00)mm Hg,decline(5.22±12.89)mm Hg,P<0.05,nighttime diastolic blood pressure(n DBP)(66.20±7.39)mm Hg vs(69.24±8.50)mm Hg,decline(3.04±9.15)mm Hg,t =3.139,P<0.05,nighttime mean pulse pressure(52.70±10.51)mm Hg vs(55.00±10.57)mm Hg,decline(2.30±6.46)mm Hg,t =2.758,P<0.05.However,the group taking drugs in the morning and afternoon separately compared with the group taking all antihypertensive drugs in the morning, about 24-hours diastolic blood pressure(24h DBP),24-hours mean pulse pressure(24h PP),daytime diastolic blood pressure(d DBP),daytime mean pulse pressure(d PP),24 hours Systolic standard deviation(24h SSD),24 hours diastolic standard deviation,(24h DSD),24 hours pulse pressure standard deviation(24h PSD),daytime systolic standard deviation(d SSD),daytime diastolic standard deviation(d DSD),daytime pulse pressure standard deviation(d PSD),nighttime diastolic blood standard deviation(n DSD),morning blood pressure(MBP),morning blood pressure standard deviation(MBPSD),Moring blood pressure surge(MBPS),the difference have no significance(P>0.05).Conclusion: With combination therapy of anti-hypertensive drugs being significant in reduce blood pressure, taking drugs in the morning and evening separately was efficacy than taking together in the morning, which may change circadian rhythms of blood pressure better.
