| Objective Ultrasound is one of the appropriate diagnostic tools for identifying joint changes. The aim of the analysis is to finish the examinations of knee joint using US,evaluating the health condition of the knee joints, referring to MRI on the diagnosis and score of hemophiliac arthropathy. Methods A total of 44 patients,5-48 years old,in haemophilia with 70 joints were enrolled in this study.Standard US and the evaluation of health condition were performed for70 knee joints,Evaluating the correlation of the US change with bleeding and age.11 of the patients in the group less than 18 years old about 16 knee joints finished the examination of MRI,comparing the correlation between US,MRI and HJHS.Results The relation between the age and bleeding times with arthropathy is positive. The severity of arthropathy is not correlated with the type of haemophilia(F=0.013,P=0.987).The difference of ultrasound and MRI was not typically significant(P>0.05)in the detection of synovial hypertrophy and cartilage loss, and significant(P <0 005)in the detection of hemosiderin deposition and osteochondral lesions and bone erosions. There was obvious correlation between HJHS 2.1 and MRI(r=0.640,P<0.05),between US and MRI(r=0.702,P<0.01),and obvious correlation between HJHS 2.1 and US(r=0.659,P<0.05).Conclusion As the age or bleeding times increased, arthropathy is more serious, and US is effective tool to evaluate the early change of hemophilic arthropathy. With a effective, quick and safe method,US is more appropriate for clinic. |
