Purpose: To investigate the role of clinical pharmacists in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with drug allergy.Methods: Through the retrospective analysis of several cases of drug allergy diagnosed and treated with the participation of pharmacists,summarize the pathogenesis and clinical features of various types of drug allergic reactions,explore the relevance between pharmaceutical diagnosis and clinical diagnosis,and summarize individualized drug therapy and the key of pharmaceutical care.Results: The type III and type IV drug allergic reactions have a long and variable incubation period,complex allergy-causing drugs,and great clinical heterogeneity.There are some nonspecific symptoms might show up alone,such as fever,weight loss,rash and joint pain.But there also is some organ involvement which even could be life-threatening,such as kidney damage,liver damage,and severe pulmonary hemorrhage.Effective remission would achieve by withdrawal and the use of glucocorticoid and other anti-immune therapy with the complement of the pharmaceutical diagnosis and clinical diagnosis.It would be beneficial to early diagnosis and individualized treatment when Pharmacists participated.Conclusion: Drug allergy,especially type III and type IV allergic reactions,is not easy to achieve early diagnosis and identify induced drugs.And its clinical manifestations and therapy have large individual differences.An irreplaceable role could be played when Clinical pharmacists early,full participation in drug-related diseases diagnosis and treatment of drug-induced disease.
