| Objective To evaluate quantitatively 2D-STI in the assessment of left ventricular(LV)peak systolic longitudinal systolic function in children with hematological malignancies after treating with anthracycline, and to discuss the 2D-STI as an early predictor of myocardium disfunction in these children. Methods We retrospectively analyzed 120 cases of children with hematological malignancies after treating with anthracycline(case group)and 89 healthy children(control group).2D-STI was performed in the apical projections of LV.The regional longitudinal strain(S)and strain rate(SR)of LV was measured in all of the 18 segments. Results These 120 case group children’s cardiac markers,EF and FS were normal. But 2D-STI found that these cases’ s SL&Sr L image lost the normal characteristics.Compared with control group, case group’s SL&Sr L were smaller significantly(P<0.05).And the effect of anthracycline chemotherapy on myocardium was positively correlated with the cumulative dose per unit body surface area in several segments(P<0.05).Conclusion 2D-STI can be used to detect the myocardium movement in children with hematological malignancies treated with anthracycline, which have important clinical value in the assessment of the LV longitudinal systolic function of children with hematological malignancies after treating with anthracycline early. |
