Objective To explore the clinical value of CYP2D6 gene detection on arrhythmia treatment in children.Methods 79 children with arrhythmia,diagnosed in the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao Universityand administrated the anti-arrhythmia drugs from December 31,2014 to December 31,2016,were randomly divided into gene detection group(n=37)and gene non-detection group(n=42).The genotype of CYP2D6 *10 in 37 children with arrhythmia was detected by PCR-RFLP.The dose of the antiarrhythmia drugs was adjusted according to the results.The general conditions,types of thearrhythmia,the total and average amounts of anti-arrhythmia drugs,the course of the treatment,the treatment effects,and side effects in two groups were analyzed.Results The most common CYP2D6 * 10 genotype was the mutant heterozygote,followed by the mutant homozygote,the wild type homozygote was the least,and no multi-copy wild type homozygote.Correspondingly,the most common of CYP2D6 enzyme phenotype,in the strong metabolic type,followed by weak metabolic type,strong metabolic type rare,no super metabolic type.No significant differences in sex,age,etiology,arrhythmia type,antiarrhythmic drug type and cardiac ultrasound,electrocardiogram,liver and kidney function,leukocyte and side effects were found in gene detection group and gene non-detection group(P> 0.05).The total dose of antiarrhythmic drugs in gene detection group was lower than that in gene non-detection group(P <0.05).The time of the treatment in gene detection group was shorter than that of other group,but no significant difference was found(P>0.05).The effective rate of the anti-arrhythmia treatment in gene detection group was equal to that of gene non-detection group.Conclusions CYP2D6 gene detection had a consequential value on arrhythmia treatment in children to guide individualized medication,predict the efficiency,reduce or avoid the occurrence of adverse reactions.The genotype of CYP2D6 may be valued on the prediction of the efficiency of drugs and the therapeutic course to some extent.
