Objective: To evaluate the primary convulsive epilepsy genetic effect. Methods: Cluster epidemiological investigation methods,to meet the primary convulsive epilepsy criteria for the diagnosis of 536 cases of the proband families come to survey. To find a positive family history of patients with face detection rate is 100%.This study was conducted in Gaomi City convulsive epilepsy epidemiological investigation based on the control group,no more, and Gaomi City to the convulsive epilepsy group epidemiology prevalence data for the control. Results: The results were investigated the proband one or two relatives of 16489 persons.8cases were found in patients with epilepsy probands, relatives prevalence rate of 0.049%.Gaomi City convulsive epilepsy epidemiological data outcome groups in the prevalence rate is 0.063%.There was no statistical significance(P = 0.5631).According to the Falconer threshold model theory, the heritability estimates,first-degree relatives of h2 = 24.6%,not more than 60%,does not conform to the dominant, recessive inheritance,sex-linked inheritance and polygenes inheritance model, two relatives of B-0.157,and genetically unrelated. Conclusions: The genetic factors in primary convulsive epilepsy etiology is not important.Considering its cause may be associated with childhood neurodevelopmental abnormalities.
