Objective We detected the level of thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH),follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH),luteinizing hormone(LH)and prolactin(PRL)in serum from different time after injury,to explore and discuss the occurrence rate of abnormal secretion of pituitary hormones,the laws of changing,the probability close link among injury and prognosis.In this way,it could help clinicians diagnose the abnormal secretion of pituitary hormone after craniocerebral trauma and take matching hormone replaced therapy to improve the prognosis of patients.Methods We randomly selected a total of 60 cases of inpatients as craniocerebral trauma group from November 2015 to November 2016.Patients readmission on admission GCS again divided into heavy and track groups.We extracted fasting venous blood in patients after injury 1,3,7,14,21,30 days respectively with early in the morning3 ml and then separated.We used chemistry immune luminescence method to detect the contents of anterior pituitary hormones from the isolated serum.Another 30 healthy volunteers were randomly selected as control group.All the patients above had no obvious differences in age and gender.According to GOS criteria,the patients in craniocerebral trauma group with 3 months follow-up were divided into bad prognosis groups(GOS < 3)and good prognosis group(GOS > 3).Results(1)Compared with control group,the level of PRL,FSH,ACTH,GH,TSH and LH in serum after injury 1,3,7,14,21,30 days in the heavy and track groups with statistical significances(P < 0.05).The differences between heavy and track group has no statistically significances(P > 0.05).(2)In the poor prognosis group,the PRL,FSH,ACTH,GH,TSH and LH level was obviously higher than normal group with statistical significance(P < 0.05).(3)In the poor prognosis,FSH,PRL,GH,ACTH,TSH and LH levels higher than good prognosis group,with significant difference(P < 0.05).Conclusion(1)With the improvement of patients' condition and time went by,thefunction of pituitary hormones secretion appeared different degree of recovery.The changes degree of anterior pituitary hormone and the change of the injury was not significantly associated.(2)The dynamic change of pituitary hormones had important reference value for judging the prognosis of patients with sTBI.
