Objective: In this study,we retrospectively analysised the prognostic factors of colorectal cancer patients to provide theoretical basis for clinical treatment and improve the life quality of patients. Methods:In our study,293 patients with colorectal cancer were selected who underwent surgical treatment at the Second Department of Surgery of the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University from January 2010 to December 2010.Patients were followed up(outpatient review and telephone follow-up)from the beginning of the operation to 30 October 2016 or the death time.A total of 257 cases were collected, the lose rate of 12.3%.In this study, the clinical parameters(gender, age, history of smoking and drinking, family history of cancer, combined intestinal obstruction and perforation, preoperative anemia, concomitant diabetes),pathologic parameters(tumor location, tumor size, histological type and differentiation, intestinal wall infiltration, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis),tumor markers(carcinoembryonic antigen, carbohydrate antigen 19-9)and therapeutic factors(surgical approach, neoadjuvant therapy, adjuvant therapy, perioperative blood transfusion)were collected to establish a EXCEL database, then the data was analyzed using SPSS 21.0 statistical software.Kaplan-Meier method was adopted for Univariate analysis and multi-factor Cox regression model for multi-factor survival analysis. Results:A total of 257 patients with colorectal cancer were enrolled in this study,as 141 patients with colorectal cancer,116 patients with colorectal cancer. All the samples included 154 males and 103 females with age from 19-86 years old.The median age was 52.5 years old.Univariate analysis showed statistically significant factors as: anemia(with or not),histological type(adenocarcinoma, mucinous adenocarcinoma)and degree of differentiation(well, moderately or poorly differentiated),intestinal infiltration(T1-2,T3-4),lymph node metastasis(N0,N1,N2),distant metastasis(M0,M1),carcinoembryonic antigen(>5ng/ml,? 5ng/ml),carbohydrate antigen 19-9(> 27U/ml,?27U/ml),and surgical approach(radical surgery and palliative operation).Further multivariate analysis showed that the differences of carcinoembryonic antigen, carbohydrate antigen 19-9,lymph node metastasis and colorectal cancer were statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusions:The independent risk factors of prognosis in patients with colon cancer were: carcinoembryonic antigen, lymph node metastasis and operation property. The independent risk factors of patients with rectal cancer were carbohydrate antigen 19-9 and lymph node metastasis.
