PurposeLots of litreature have been reported the clinical outcome and effectiveness of open lumbar surgery compared with minimally invasive lumbar surgery.but the article which compared the med-tlif with the mini-open tlif in the patients who suffering from herniated lumbar discs has not yet appeared.author would like to acquire the more superior therapeutic schedule treating the lumbar discs herniatation by compareing one's the health-related quality of life(HRQoL)and spino-pelvic parameters to another.MethodsBetween 2015 December and 2016 September,27 patients underwent TLIF for lumbar disc herniation;16 patients underwent mini-open TLIF and 11 patients underwent MED-TLIF.The baseline in two group has no statistically significant difference.Clinical assessment in terms Of Oswestry Disability Index,Short Form-36,JOA,Visual Analogue scores,spino-pelvic parameters(LL?SS?PI?PT?SA)were recorded before surgery,1 week,1 months and 3 months after surgery.ResultsThe average operation time in MED group and Mini-open group was statistically significant difference(P<0.05).the intraoperative blood loss in two group was no statistical difference(P>0.05).Compare with preoperation,ODI,SF-36,JOA and VAS all improve postoperatively in two group.the statistically significant difference in ODI,SF-36,JOA and VAS was found or not found between groups in different period after surgery.ConclusionsBoth Mini-open TLIF and MED-TLIF are effective minimally invasive surgical procedure in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation.Compared with Mini-open group,MED group has the advantages of less invasion and quicker postoperative recovery, but we still need long-term follow-up to verify.the spino-pelvic parameters in two group has no statistically significant difference.
