Evaluation Of The Efficacy And Safety Of Atorvastatin Combined With Ezetimibe And Atorvastatin Combined With Fenofibrate In Mixed Hyperlipidemia

AIM: To Compare the efficacy and safety of atorvastatin combined with ezetimibe and atorvastatin combined with fenofibrate in mixed hyperlipidemia.Methods: 64 patients with mixed hyperlipidemia were randomly divided into two groups: the experimental group(atorvastatin 10mg/d+ezetimibe 10mg/d),the control group(atorvastatin 10mg/d+fenofibrate 200mg/d),triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),total cholesterol(TC)and Liver function(ALT,AST),creatine kinase(CPK)were measured before and after treatment for 8 weeks,the occurrence of adverse reactions during the treatment were recorded.Results: After treatment,the levels of TC,LDL-C,TG and non-HDL-C were significantly decreased and HDL-C was significantly increased in both groups(P<0.05).While in experimental group the decrease magnitube of LDL-C was significantly higher than that in the control group(39.5% vs 27.9%,P <0.05)and the decrease magnitube of TG was lower than that in the control group(41.5% vs 53.7%,P <0.05),while the decrease range of TC,HDL-C and non-HDL-C were no significant difference between the two groups(TC: 25.5% vs 20.7%,HDL-C: 16.3% vs 21.9%,non-HDL-C: 35.4% vs 29.2%,P> 0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was 20.58% and 23.34%,respectively(P> 0.05).Conclusion: Small dose of statin combined with fenofibrate or ezetimibe were relatively safe and effective in decreasing TC,TG,LDL-C,non-HDL-C and increasing HDL-C in mixed hyperlipidemia patients.but statin combined with ezetimibe reduced LDL-C was superior,statin combined with fenofibrate significantly reduced TG.
