Objective: To study the clinicopathological features of 110 patients with Krukenberg tumor in our hospital,so as to explore prognostic factors. Methods: The clinicopathological features of 110 patients with Krukenberg tumor admitted to our hospital during 2009.2-2016.2 were analyzed retrospectively. The survival time was obtained by follow-up and the relevant data were analyzed statistically. The log-rank method was used to test the effect of different clinicopathological features on the prognosis.Multivariate analysis was performed using the COX regression model to find the independent prognostic factors, and the survival curve was drawn by Kaplan-Meier method. Results: 1.The average age of 110 patients with Krukenberg tumor was 48.6 years old(range: 18 to 79 years old),71 patients(64.5%)were less than 50 years old.The primary tumor site: 59 patients(53.6%)of gastro,35 patients(31.8%)of colon,8 patients(7.3%)of appendix, unknown in 8 patients(7.3%);pathological type: 26 patients(23.6%)of signet ring cell carcinoma,23 patients(20.9%)of low differentiated adenocarcinoma,61 patients of others(55.5%);the depth of primary tumor invasion: T1 1 patient,T2 0,T3 10 patients,T4 69 patients,30 patients of unknown;lymph node staging: N0 15 patients,N1 9 patients,N2 11 patients,N3 27 patients,48 patients of unknown;vascular invasion: 32 patients positive,13 patients negative,65 patients of unknown;hormone receptor:estrogen receptor and(or)progesterone receptor was positive in 3 patients,17 patients were negative,90 patients of unknown;synchronous ovarian metastasis in 65 patients, metachronous ovarian metastasis in 45 patients,22 patients(48.9%)of metachronous ovarian metastasis recurrence within 1 year,33 patients(73.3%)of recurrence within 2 years,39 patients(86.7%)of recurrence within 3 years,6 patients(13.3%)recur after 3 years.Transfer range: limited pelvic metastases in 49 patients, beyond pelvic metastases in 61 patients.Bilateral ovarian metastasis in 62 patients(56.4%),unilateral ovarian metastasis in 48 patients(43.6%).47 patients of resection of ovarian metastasis, ovarian metastases without resection in 63 patients.44 patients of peritoneal metastasis, without peritoneal metastasis in 66 patients.42 patients of ascites,68 patients of no ascites.2.The median survival time was 12.8 months for 68 patients with Krukenberg tumor with complete survival data. The patients' overall 1 year,2 years survival rate were 58.8%,25.0%.Univariate analysis showed that the six factors of the primary tumor site(p=0.010),tumor pathological type(p=0.001),tumor metastasis limited pelvis(p=0.001),resection of ovarian metastasis(p=0.005),peritoneal metastasis(p=0.047),ascites(p=0.003)affected the survival time.Multivariate statistical analysis showed that the pathological type(p=0.006)and tumor metastasis limited pelvis(p=0.001)were independent prognostic factors for the patients with Krukenberg tumor. Conclusion: The prognosis of patients with Krukenberg tumor was poor.Tumor pathological type and tumor metastasis limited pelvis were independent prognostic factors for the patients with Krukenberg tumor.
