Objective:The purpose of this study is to investigate the ability of quantitative parameters obtained by dynamic contrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(DCE-MRI)in discriminationing low-grade from high-grade gliomas.Methods:The key words were “glioma” “astrocytoma” “astrocytic tumour” “neuroepithelial neoplasms” “neuroepithelial tumor” “dynamic contrast enhanced” “DCE”.In order to get the literatures which were associated with glioma grading in the way of dynamic contrast enhanced and published at home and abroad,we searched the CNKI,Wanfang database,VIP database,PubMed,Science Direct and Cochrane Library.The data were extracted using the Rev Man5.3 software in this meta-analysis.Result:A total of 317 related literatures were searched.Finally,there were ten pieces of literatures about dynamic contrast-enhanced perfusion quantification in grading of glioma in this analysis.The number of cases was 419.Meta-analysis results were as follows:(1)The Ktransvalues of the low-grade gliomas tumor parenchyma were lower than the high-grade glioma tumor parenchymaWMD=-0.14,95%CI[-0.16,-0.11],and the results were statistically significant.(2)The Ve values of the low-grade gliomas tumor parenchyma were lower than the high-grade gliomas tumor parenchyma WMD=-0.21,95%CI[-0.29,-0.15],and the results were statistically significant.(3)The Vp value of the low-grade gliomas tumor parenchyma were lower than the high-grade gliomas tumor parenchyma WMD=-0.03,95%CI[-0.07,-0.00],the results were not statistically significant.(4)The Kep value of the low-grade gliomas tumor parenchyma were lower than the high-grade gliomas tumor parenchyma WMD=-0.36,95%CI[-1.06,0.35],the results were not statistically significant.Conclusion:(1)The Ktransvalue and Ve value were helpful in judging the grade of gliomas.The Ktrans and Ve of LGG tumor parenchyma were lower than those of HGG.(2)Because of the heterogeneity of the studies we have included and the low quality of some studies,further high-quality and large sample of the series of cases are needed.The Ktransvalue,Ve value,Vp value and Kep value in the glioma grading need a more systematic and in-depth evaluation.
