Objective: To summarize the clinical and pathological characte-ristics of primary Squamous Cell Carcinoma(SCC)of the kidney,to a-nalyse the misdiagnosed cause of SCC of the kidney and improve t-he diagnostic and therapeutic level.Methods: Review the clinical and pathological data of two samples of misdiagnosed SCC of the kidney,and analysis the etiology,pathogenesis,diagnostic and therapeutic of SCC of the kidney with Literature.Results: In case one,nephroureterectomy was performed for patient,pathological results showed Squamous cell carcinoma of the left renal pelvis and ureteral broken end infiltrated.No radiotherapy and chemotherapy,patient Died of tumor metastasis in 3 mouths.In case two,nephrectomy was performed for patient,pathological results showed well differentiated squamous cell carcinomas of kidney,perirenal fat infiltrated,renal pelvis and ureter did not infiltrated.No radiotherapy and chemotherapy,patient Died of tumor metastasis in 4 mouths.Conclusion: primary SCC of the kidney is rare seen clinically,Most patients with no clinical symptoms in early stage.Imaging examination is not sensitive to SCC Without apparent enclosed mass,biopsy with ureteroscopy has its limitation,in clinical practice,primary SCC of the kidney is missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis easily.
