Analysis Of The Related Factors Of The Recurrence After Resection Of Pituitary Tumors By Transsphenoidal Surgery

Objectives : The purpose of this research was to study the related factors of post-operative recurrence of pituitary adenomas,provide a reference for pituitary tumor recurrence prevention and take appropriate measures reduce the pituitary tumor recurrence.Methods:A retrospective analysis of the clinical data was performed on 99 patients treated with initial transsphenoidal surgery for pituitary adenomas at the neurosurgery department of nignxia medical university general hospital from January 2010 to January 2016.Patients' sex,age,disease duration,C linical symptoms,tumor size,tumor invasiveness,pituitary apolexy,totally or partly resected,tumor residual,post-operative complications,radiotherapy after operation were taken as variables.Results:Recurrent tumor after surgery was detected in 26 patients(26.26%).Univariate analysis showed that there is a directcorrelation between tumor invasiveness,tumor size,totally or partly resected,tumor residual,and post-operative recurrence of pituitary adenomas(P< 0.05).Screened out of pituitary.adenomas recurrence influence factors by univariate analysis for multivariate analysis results showed tumor residual,tumor invasiveness of pituitary adenomas recurrence of independent prognostic factors.Pituitary tumors invasiveness and tumor residual : ? >0,Exp(?)>1,demonstrated the two factors may promote the risk of tumor recurrence.It is tumor invasiveness that mostly affect the recurrence of pituitary adenoma by transsphenoidal approach.Conclusion:Many factors led to a recurrence of tumor,there is a directcorrelation between tumor invasiveness,tumor residual and post-operative recurrence of pituitary adenomas.To understand features of the tumor,increase cut rate and reduce the postop erative tumor residual as much as possible can decrease the tumor recurrence rate.
