Objective: To investigate the correlation between left ventricular systolic function and bilirubin and cystatin C in blood of patients with hypertension. Methods: According to the selection and exclusion criteria,81 patients with grade 3hypertensive patients(group A with left ventricular systolic function and 39 patients with left ventricular systolic dysfunction)were selected.43 healthy controls were selected. The left ventricular systolic function was measured by SPSS20.0 statistical software. The results were analyzed by SPSS20.0 statistical software. Results: Left ventricular ejection fraction was significantly lower than that healthy control group(P <0.05),total bilirubin, indirect bilirubin(P <0.05),but there was no significant difference in direct bilirubin between the two groups(P> 0.05).indirect bilirubin, cystatin C and left ventricular ejection fraction were significantly correlated with total bilirubin, indirect bilirubin. And left ventricular ejection fraction were significantly positively correlated with cysteine C and left ventricular ejection fraction, while direct bilirubin and left ventricular ejection fraction. No relevance. Conclusion: Serum total bilirubin, indirect bilirubin, cystatin C and left ventricular systolic function were significantly correlated, suggesting that serum bilirubin, cystatin C can be used as one of the evaluation of left ventricular systolic function.Compared with the healthy group, the levels of total bilirubin, indirect bilirubin and cystatin C in the serum of the hypertensive group were higher than those of the control group. The serum bilirubin and cystatin C were one of the predictors of hypertension.
