Objective: To investigate prevalences of hyperuricemia and gout in population in Tangshan city, and to explore risk factors of hyperuricemia. Methods: A study was carried out in population who had yearly health examinations at the Health Guidance Center of Tangshan Workers Hospital from October to December 2015.Medical examinations were checked and related biochemical testing with their permission.Collected their name, gender, age, contact information, living area(urban/rural),educational level, marital status, following anamnesis(hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, hyperuricemia, gout, and so on).Ultimately,A total of 1198 questionnaires were valid to make the factors into different groups to compare the prevalences of gout and hyperuricemia. The diagnostic criteria of hyperuricemia: hyperuricemia was defined as serum uric acid>420umol/l in men,and uric acid >360umol/l in women. The diagnostic criteria of gout were diagnosed according to?New guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of gout and hyperuricemia in European League Against Rheumatism in 2011?.Enumeration data indicated as percentage, the comparison of rate of cases were tested by the chi—square;Date were further analyzed by multivariate logistic regression models to find associated factors of hyperuricemia.Results:1 The prevalence of hyperuricemia and gout in the crowd was 13.2-7% and 2.34%.There was a significant difference of prevalence of hype r-uricemia and gout in people with different genders:Prevalences of hype r-uricemia and gout in men were much higher than those in women(17.07%vs9.26%,3.74%vs0.86% P<0.05).2 The single factor analysis showed that living area,obesity/overweight,hypertension,dyslipidemia,diabetes are risk factors of hyperuricemia, whileeducational level, marital status were not statistically significant.3 Multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that urban,obesity/overweight,hypertension,dyslipidemia and diabetes are risk factors of hyperuricemia.Conclusion:1 There was a significant difference of prevalence of hyperuricemia and gout in people with different genders:Prevalence of hyperuricemia and gout in men were much higher than those in women.2 Urban,obesity/overweight,hypertension,dyslipidemia and diabetes are risk factors of hyperuricemia.
