Neuropsychiatric disorders, ranked first in the overall burden of disease, were accounting for about 20% of the total burden of disease.Effective control of neuropsychiatric diseases can greatly improve the health of our citizens' life and reduce the country's medical expenses.Commonly used neuropsychiatric methods of treatment are drug therapy, deep brain stimulation, magnetic stimulation and other methods, however, these methods of treatment have the drawbacks of damage or low spatial resolution.Low-intensity transcranial ultrasound stimulation is a new method of brain regulation developed in recent years, which produces biomechanical effects on neurons through the transmission of low-intensity ultrasound energy through the complete skull, thereby unintentionally regulating the brain of the nerve activity.Compared with traditional drug therapy, deep brain stimulation or magnetic stimulation,it has the advantages such as noninvasive, high penetration depth and high spatial resolution. This article first introduced the treatment of mental illness and transcranial ultrasound stimulation of the development of the status quo;set up a set of transcranial ultrasound stimulation system, and introduced the system components and ultrasound parameters. After set up the system,in this study,we first used ultrasound to stimulate the hippocampus region of the rats and record the local field potential,it was found that ultrasound stimulation could change the power spectrum of local field potential, and then we use different power ultrasound to stimulate hippocampus region of the rat and record the local field potential. The results show that with the increase of the ultrasonic power, the power of the local field potential in the delta(?),theat(?),alpha(?),beta(?)and gamma(?)bands increases. In addition,we use ultrasound to stimulate the hippocampus of rats and record the local field potentials,we find that low-intensity ultrasound can modulate the gamma oscillation in the hippocampus of rats, and the ? amplitude is modulated by ?,? and ? phase. After that,we use different ultrasonic power to stimulate the region of rat hippocampus and record local field potentials, the result show tha the PAC of the neurons in the hippocampus was changed by FUS,and the PAC index increases with the increase of the ultrasonic power. The purpose of this study is to provide technical support for the clinical application of low-intensity transcranial brain stimulation in the treatment of neurological and psychiatric diseases. This study will lay a solid foundation for low-intensity transcranial ultrasound brain stimulation methods using in rehabilitation, brain science and cognitive science and other neuropsychiatric disorders.
