Objectives To study the expression of PAK4 in serous epithelial ovarian cancer and its pathological and clinical significance; To study the expression of VEGF,CCND1 and BCL-2 in serous epithelial ovarian cancer and analyse the correlation between the expression of VEGF,CCND1,BCL-2 and PAK4 and explore the possible mechanism of PAK4 in epithelial serous ovarian cancer. Methods From 2011 to 2015,50 patients with serous epithelial ovarian cancer,35 patients with borderline serious ovarian tumor,50 patients with benign serious ovarian tumor and 50 patients with ovarian cyst got surgical treatment in our hospital. These patients were divided into four groups according to their pathological types. The pathological samples and clinical data of them were collected.Immunohistochemical staining was used to obtain the expression of PAK4 and analyse the pathological and clinical significance of PAK4.The differences of expression of PAK4 between 4 groups was analyzed by One-Way ANOVA single factor variance analysis. The differences of expression of PAK4 in different pathological grades and clinical stages were analyzed by chi-square test.Immunohistochemical staining was used to obtain the expression of VEGF,CCND1 and BCL-2 in 50 patients with serous epithelial ovarian cancer,35 patients with borderline serious ovarian tumor,50 patients with benign serious ovarian tumor and 50 patients with ovarian cyst and analyse the pathological and clinical significance of VEGF,CCND1 and BCL-2.Finally,we analyse the correlation between the expression of VEGF,CCND1,BCL-2 and PAK4.The differences of expression of VEGF,CCND1 and BCL-2between 4 groups was analyzed by One-Way ANOVA single factor variance analysis. The relationship between the expression of VEGF,CCND1,BCL-2 and PAK4 was analyzed by Spearman correlation. Results 1 The expression of PAK4 in epithelial ovarian cancer was higher than that in borderline serous ovarian tumor, serous benign ovarian tumor and normal ovarian tissue. The difference was statistically significant(F = 48.142,P < 0.001);2 PAK4 was highly expressed in the tissues with high histological grade(?~2 = 21.435,P < 0.001),lymph node metastasis(?~2 = 21.542,P < 0.001)and late stage(?~2 = 32.766,P < 0.001).The difference was statistically significant, and there was no significant difference in the expression between different ages(?~2 = 0.272,P = 0.713);3 CCND1,VEGF and BCL-2were highly expressed in the tissues with high histological grade, lymph node metastasis and late stage. The difference was statistically significant, and there was no significant difference in the expression between different ages. The expression of PAK4 and VEGF in epithelial ovarian cancer was positively correlated(r = 0.764,P < 0.001),The expression of PAK4 was positively correlated with CCND1(r = 0.601,P < 0.001),The expression of PAK4 was positively correlated with BCL-2(r = 0.706,P < 0.001),The difference was statistically significant. Conclusions 1 PAK4 is overexpressed in epithelial serous ovarian cancer;2 PAK4 is associated with the malignant degree of ovarian cancer, lymph node metastasis and staging,It may promote the malignant progression of ovarian cancer and become a new target for targeted therapy of ovarian cancer;3 VEGF,CCND1 and BCL-2 are overexpressed in epithelial serous ovarian cancer and correlated with pathological and clinical factors;.The expression of VEGF,CCND1 and BCL-2 is positive correlated with PAK4.PAK4 may promote the malignant progression of ovarian cancer through promoting the expression of VEGF,CCND1,and BCL-2.
