Objective To analyze the sleep time status and glucose metabolism, and to explore the correlation between sleep time and glucose metabolism and to investigate relationship correlation between sleep time and glucose metabolism. Methods Using "Reaction" to study the data of Gansu area,a total of 8526 cases of eligible residents aged 40 to 75 years in Lanzhou city were studied. Our study extract gender, age, fall asleep, getting up,sleep, snoring, living alone, career status, test fasting blood glucose(FBG)?two hours of postprandial blood glucose(2hPG)?glycosylated hemoglobin(Hb A1c)?high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),etc. The subjects were divided into 6 groups according to the time of nightt ime sleep(hour,h),~ 6h,~ 7h,~ 8h,~ 9h,> 9h.The sleep time status of the populat ion was analyzed and analyzed, and the correlation between different sleep t ime group and normal glucose tolerance(NGT),impaired glucose regulation(IGR)and diabetes mellitus(DM)was investigated.Results(1)Of the 8526 subjects,2446 were male(28.7%)and 6080 were female(71.3%).The average age(57.5 ± 8.4)years and the mean body mass index(BMI)were(24.1 ± 3.2)kg / m2.The mean sleep time was(7.62 ± 1.16)h,and there was no signif icant difference in sleep time between male and female(P> 0.05).The prevalence of IGR and DM was 28.1% and 23.9%,respectively.The prevalence of male DM was higher than that of female(31.5% vs 20.9%,P <0.05).(2)The mean sleep time of the patients in the sleep time <5h group,~ 6h group,~ 7h group,~ 8h group,~ 9h group,> 9h group were(3.54±0.92)h?(5.75±0.40)h?(6.85±0.28)h?(7.79±0.32)h?(8.67±0.35)h?(9.89±0.88)h.(3)Univar iate analysis of variance showed that FBG,Hb A1 c,HDL,LDL and TC were signif icantly different under different sleep time(P <0.05).Set the sleep time to 8h as the control group, the level of FBG and Hb A1 C in sleep tim e <5 h was higher than that in the control group(P <0.05).Compared with the control group,HDL-C and TC were signif icantly higher in sleep time ~ 9h and sleep time ~ 6h(P <0.05).BMI level was low(P <0.05)at sleep time ~ 9h.(4)Among the subjects, the percentages of NGT,IGR and DM were 47.9%,28.1% and 23.9%,respectively.52% of the subjects had abnormal glucose metabolism. In general,Abnormal glucose metabolism in the older?blood glucose levels(FBG,2hPG,HbA1c),blood lipid levels(LDL,TG,TC),BMI,WC,SBP and DBP were both high(P <0.05).(5)The prevalence of DM in the sleep time <5h group was higher than that in the rest sleep time group(P <0.05).There was no signif icant difference in the prevalence of IGR between different sleep time groups(P> 0.05).There was no significant difference in the prevalence of IGR and DM between male and female under different sleep time group(P> 0.05).(6)Logistic regression analysis showed that: the sleep time <8 h was set to the reference group,The sleep time was less than 5 hours, and the prevalence of DM and IGR was set as the dependent variable. When the confounding factors were not adjusted, the sleep tim e <5 h could increase the risk of DM and male IGR.On the basis of the above, adjust the age,sex,WC,HDL-C,LDL-C,TG,TC,sleep,snoring history, education, occupational status, living alone, physical activity, hypertension, dyslipidem ia,History, history of drinking and smoking factors, sleep time <5h can still increase the risk of DM,male IGR.Further adjustment of BMI factors, the correlation is still a statistical difference. Conclusions Sleep time <5h was positively correlated with the risk of male IGR,and sleep time <5 h was an independent risk factor for male IGR.Sleep time <5 h was positively correlated with the risk of DM,and sleep time <5 h was an independent risk factor for DM.
