Clinical Application Of MRI Signs And Expression Of MDM2 And PTEN In Meningiomas

Objective: To study the corresponding relation of meningiomas MRI features and MDM2,PTEN expression in different grades,and further study the molecular pathological basis of meningiomas MRI features,then to analyze the relationship between the biological behavior of different meningiomas grades and the expression of MDM2,PTEN protein,and the relationship between the expression both of two protein and MRI features,to provide reference for clinical treatment and prognosis of tumor.Methods: To review the imaging and pathological data which collected from 2012 to 2016 different grades of meningiomas,they were underwent preoperative MRI scan and enhanced scan,and recorded MRI features by blinding method.Finded wax blocks and performed MDM2,PTEN immunostaining staining,analysis pathological were to determine the pathological grades.The MRI feartures,pathology and the expression of MDM2,PTEN for statistical analysis application of Spss19.0 software in different meningioma.Results: Different grades of MRI in meningioma MRI features,such as lobulation signs(?2=32.018,P < 0.001),fuzzy of brain-tumor interface(?2=20.292,P< 0.001),peritumoral edema(?2=8.753,P=0.013),cystic necrosis(?2=12.619,P=0.002),heterogeneous enhancement(?2=13.214,P=0.001),the adjacent bone change(?2=10.431,P=0.005)were significantly different among them.There were no difference of dural tail sign(?2=4.282,P=0.118),tumor enhancement degree(?2=5.603,P=0.061)and the blood vessels signals of tumor(?2=3.617,P=0.164)among three grades.Meningioma pathological MDM2 protein immunohistochemical staining positive expression,there are differences between the grades of meningiomas various and different MRI signs score expressed in the same way(P < 0.001)and were positively correlated(P < 0.001);PTEN protein expression immunohistochemical staining positive,and the grades of meningiomas MRI signs score,there are differences between the various grades of different expression in the same way(P < 0.001),and negatively correlated(P < 0.001).Conclusion: There are difference in the features of MRI,PTEN and MDM2 expression of meningioma,those imaging signs that lobulation signs,fuzzy of brain-tumor interface,peritumoral edema,cystic necrosis,heterogeneous enhancement and the adjacent bone change were significant,MRI findings were positively correlated with MDM2 expression and negativelycorrelated with PTEN expression,revealing the correlation between MRI features of different grades of meningiomas and the expression of MDM2 and PTEN,and to provide evidence for improving the diagnosis,clinical treatment and prognosis of meningiomas.
