Short-term Clinical Effects Observation Of Percutaneous Transforaminal Endoscopic Discectomy(Beis Technology) On Far Lateral Lumbar Disc Herniation

Objective:To provide a new idea for the treatment of far lateral type of intervertebral disc herniation by conducting retrospective study of Percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic discectomy(BEIS technology)treatment of far lateral type of intervertebral disc herniation short-term clinical curative effect of 30 patients.Methods:The statistics are collected from 30 cases of far lateral disc herniation patients treated by surgery of Percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic discectomy who were enrolled in The Hospital of Afflliated Hospital of Shandong University o fTraditional Chinese Medicine from December 2014 to September 2015.By using Visual analog pain score(Visual Analogue Scale,VAS),Oswestry Disability Index(Oswestry Disability Index,ODI),we can assessment the treatment effect on the time before and after treatment,3 months later and the last follow-up.By using lumbar MacNab method,we can evaluate the therapeutic effect at the time of the last follow-up.All the data was shown by mean ?X standard deviation(X ± S).The data is processing by SPSS 17.0 statistical software of T test method,containing the VAS score,ODI index data on the time before and after treatment immediately,3 months later and the last follow-up.If there were no significant differences,the P value > 0.05,otherwise,P value < 0.05.If there were significantly statistical significant,the P value < 0.01.Results:(1)Using of lumbar Mac Nab method to measure the clinical effect at the last follow-up,we could see the fine rate score was 90%,which has satisfactory clinical effect.(2)Compared with the index of patients before surgery,the data of VAS score,ODI index of patients before and after treatment immediately,3 months later and the the last follow-up have obviously decreased(VAS score in the range of 0 to 2,ODI index in the range of 14 to 20).There is significant statistical difference(p<0.05)between preoperative and postoperative..Conclusion:(1)The short-term curative effect of Percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic discectomy(BEIS technology)in the treatment of single phase type far lateral lumbar discdisease is reliable.(2)Percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic discectomy(BEIS technoLogy)which has its small injure and complication and short postoperative bed time can be used as a lateral type good method in the treatment of lumbar disc prolapse lad der.(3)More data is still needed to support the long-term efficacy of Percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic discectomy treatment on far lateral lumbar disc herniation.
