Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Patellofemoral Arthritis With Chinese Herbs By Fumigation And Washing

Purposes:to study the pathogenesis of patellofemoral arthritis,analyse the related factors of the patellofemoral arthritis to summarize patellofemoral osteoarthritis pathogenesis regularity,and to explore the clinical application value of Traditional Chinese medicine wash outside on patellofemoral arthritis.Methods:the subjects were patients with patellofemoral arthritis treated at the Joint Department of orthopedics of the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Using random number table method,the 60 patients included in this study were divided into two groups,namely 30 cases in the control group and 30 cases in the treatment group.The control group treated by NSAID(Nimesulide)and Glucosamine drugs(Glucosamine capsule).The treatment group was treated with external washing of Chinese herbs,and the wind-cold type was treated by fumigation,hot washing,damp-heat type and deficiency-impairment type,and the method of alternating cold and hot washing was adopted.The two groups were all fixed with the end extension knee function exercises and the necessary knee orthosis.The pain,swelling,joint mobility and daily life of the patients before and after treatment were observed.Continuous treatment for three weeks for a course of treatment,complete the observation of the project after the efficacy evaluation.Results:through clinical observation,compared with the control group before and after treatment of pain,swelling,the statistical detection(P<0.05),proved to have statistical significance;the pain and swelling of the two groups before and after treatment,the statistical detection(P<0.05),proved to have statistical significance;and the two groups before treatment pain and swelling compared by statistical detection(P>0.05)and that was not statistically significant;compared two groups before and after treatment of pain,swelling,the statistical detection(P<0.05),proved to have statistical significance;comparison of two groups,the statistical detection(P>0.05),that was not statistically significant.Conclusions:the occurrence of patellofemoral arthritis is directly related to patellar instability,and is highly related to Q angle,age,and BMI.Chinese medicine respectively wash,wind-cold type fumigation hot wash,damp-heat type and deficiency-impairment type by using the method of alternating hot and cold washing,for patients with anterior knee pain and swelling were obviously improved,with the end of knee joint functional exercise and braking,obtained satisfactory curative effect,has high clinical application value.
