The Study On The Rule Of TCM Syndrome And Treatment Of Macular Edema Due To Different Causes

Objective:According to the retrospective study on the literature and clinical cases of macular edema caused by diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion,to explore the law of TCM disease and syndrome and the thinking of treatment,to provide the basis for treatment of macular edema.Method: 1.Retrospective study of modern Chinese medicine literature:Analyse and sort out of the syndrome types,drug used characteristics and curative effect of macular edema,which caused by diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion in modern Chinese medicine literature.2.Retrospective study on clinical cases of traditional Chinese Medicine:Collect 40 clinical cases of macular edema caused by diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion,analyse and compare the syndrome types,drug used characteristics,curative effects.Result:Macular edema caused by diabetic retinopathy is mainly composed of syndrome of deficiency of both qi and yin,syndrome of qi stagnation and blood stasis,deficiency syndrome of both yin and yang,syndrome of intermin-gled phlegm and blood stasis.Macular edema caused by retinal vein occlusion is mainly composed of syndrome of qi stagnation and blood stasis,syndrome of hyperactivity of fire due to deficiency of yin,syndrome of intermin-gled phlegm and blood stasis,syndrome of blood stasis due to qi deficiency.The method of promoting diuresis,removing dampness and activating blood circulation throughout the entire process of macular edema.There was no significant difference in curative effect between the two diseases.Conclusion: Macular edema should be differentiated from two aspects of the deficiency and excess,deficiency syndrome is manifested as qi deficiency and yin deficiency,excess syndrome is manifested as stagnation of the circulation of vital energy,phlegm-stasis,stagnation of blood.At the same time,macular edema caused by diabetic retinopathy is always deficiency while macular edema caused by retinal vein occlusion is always excess.Fortifying the spleen and removing dampness,promoting qi and activating blood is the main treatment for macular edema.Deficiency syndrome is always cooperate with the method of nourishing vitality and nourishing yin,excess syndrome is always cooperate with the method of resolving phlegm and stasis,which has obvious effect in the treatment of macular edema.
