Coriolus versicolor is the fruit body of the polyporaceae fungus coriolus versicolor L.Coriolus versicolor is widely distributing in China,especially in the forest area of Northeast.Function clearing heat,diminish inflammation,actions in tracheitis,hepatitis,tumor,etc.Coriolus versicolor’s main active ingredient is coriolus versicolor polysaccharides(CVPS).Coriolus versicolor polysaccharides is a bio-active polysaccharide hot-waterextracted from fruit body of Coriolus versicolor,contains protein or peptied.Recentl-y,the studies on coriolus versicolor polysaccharides in worldwide focus on extract of mycelium of coriolus versicolor,PSK and PSP,however,few studies on another coriol-us versicolor polysaccharides,CVPS,which has the clinical effect as well.The study shows that CVPS has in vitro antioxidant activity,has effects on scavenging the superoxide anion radical and DPPH free radical,and inhibiting the generation of hydroxyl radicals.In order to evaluate the quality of different origin,system of coriolus versicolor versicolor,to control of product quality,poly saccharides content,protein content and in vitro antioxidant capacity are investigated.The objects of study are 4 kinds of coriolus versicolor from different latitudes producing areas in China,which are commonly marketed in China.Mean while,Coriolus Versicolor Polysaccharides from Heilongjiang producing area,which has the most antioxidant capacity is separated,the indegient of monosaccharide in the holosaccharide and the in vitro antioxidant capacity are investigated.This study analysised content of polysaccharide,protein content,DPPH scavenging effect of coriolus versicolor polysaccharides from 4 produing areas by UV-Vis.And analysised monosaccharide compositions&molecular weight of these six CVPS fractions(CVPS-1,CVPS-2,CVPS-3,CVPS-4,CVPS-5 and CVPS-6)in coriolus versicolor polysaccharides from Heilongjiang province by HPLC,vitro antioxidant activity as well.The results shows,the content of polysaccharide in coriolus versicolor polysaccharides from 4 producing areas:Yunnan was 77.3%,Heilongjiang was 72.4%,Jilin was 71.1%,Shandong was 70.1%;the protein content in coriolus versicolor polysaccharides from 4 producing areas:Heilongjiang was 15.9%,Shandong was 1 0.5%,Jilin was8.3%,Yunnan was 7.9%;The DPPH scavenging effect of coriolus versicolor polysaccharides from 4 producing areas:Heilongjiang>Shandong>Jilin>Yunnan;Themonosaccharide compositions of six CVPS fractions in coriolus versicolor polysaccharides from Heilongjiang are:mannose,rhamnose,glucuronic acid,glucose,and fructose,but with different percentage;the molecular weight of these six CVPS fractions,CVPS-1,CVPS-2,CVPS-3,CVPS-4,CVP-S-5 and CVPS-6 are:880,1260,568,1480,1840 and 1740kDa;6 CVPS fractions separated from coriolus versicolor polysaccharides from Heilongjiang shows in vitro antioxidant capacity,especially,CVPS-3.In the comparison of coriolus versicolor polysaccharides from different producing areas,coriolus versicolor polysaccharides from Heilongjiang producing area shows the most invitro-antioxidant capacity.6 CVPS fractions is separated from the coriolus v-ersicolor polysaccharides in Heilongjiang.CVPS-3 is concluded as the most invitro-antioxidant active one in the comparison of 6 CVPS fractions.
