Eugenics is the specific content of the extension of family planning,an important means to improve the population quality and also an important means to restrict the development of population,and therefore plays an important role in the future development of society of the whole nation.Eugenics measures include the prohibition of consanguineous marriage,advocate genetic counseling and prenatal diagnosis etc.Toxoplasma gondii is parasitic in human and various vertebrate cells,causing serious zoonotic parasitic diseases.In case of low immune function or immune suppression,it can lead to multiple organ damage,and secondary acquired toxoplasmosis.When the immune function fails,the disease is quickly and widely spread with fatal infection.The parasite can be transferred to the baby via the placenta that cause it suffered from congenital toxoplasmosis.So the research on the diagnosis of Toxoplasma infection or prevention of toxoplasmosis is very important.Several common and important factors of intrauterine infection is called TORCH."T" refers to Toxoplasma gondii,"O" refers to other pathogenic microorganisms,"R"refers to rubella virus,"C" refers to cytomegalovirus,"H" refers to herpes simplex virus.At present,ELISA enzyme immunoassay is the most convenient and commonly used early screening method in China.ELISA can detect the specific IgM and IgG antibodies in human serum.IgM is the early infection index which has a huge impact on the fetus,so the detection of IgM in the placenta is more important.Detection of specific IgM is a reliable basis for diagnosis of intrauterine fetal infection.ELISA reagent has been widely used in general laboratory because of its stability,high sensitivity,specificity and low cost.TORCH infection is one of the most important factors threatening the health of newborns.It can lead to multiple organ damage and a series of serious sequelae.Therefore,clinical workers should actively conduct serological screening of TORCH infection in order to reduce the birth rate of children with disabilities and improve the quality of the birth population.Serological screening of TORCH infection has important practical significance in eugenics.The Toxoplasma gondii IgM antibody ELISA diagnostic kit was developed to detect the IgM antibody against Toxoplasma gondii in human serum or plasma.It is important to judge the immune status of Toxoplasma gondii infection and to determine whether there is a primary infection.
