As one of the Vitamin K antagonists, warfarin had been used for clinical anticoagulant therapy for more than 60 years. It is the main anticoagulant drugs used after heart valve replacement and atrial fibrillation.Warfarin dose is usually adjusted according to international normalized ratio(INR),but it's quite difficult to achieve a therapeutic dose because of the instability of INR values and individual variations.Preliminary evidence suggests that the stability of anticoagulation therapy may be improved by daily vitamin K supplementation. This review aim to discuss the relationship between vitamin K intake and wafarin anticoagulant therapy. |
