Objective:To explore the expression of GPC3 and IGF-1R in lung squamous cell carcinoma tissue,and their relationship with clinicopathological features and clinical significance.Method:The study is on surgical resected lung tissues which selected from the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical University.49 of them are lung squamous cell carcinoma cases,20 are para-carcinoma cases.Immunohistochemical staining was applied to detect different expression of GPC3 and IGF-1R in lung squamous cell carcinoma cases and para-carcinoma cases.Differences of expression of GPC3 and IGF-1R in lung squamous cell carcinoma tissues and adjacent lung tissues were analyzed.Correlation of the expression of GPC3 and IGF-1R to clinicopathological features of lung squamous cell carcinoma were analyzed.Result:1.The major positive expression of GPC3 in lung squamous cell carcinoma located in cytoplasm,which indicated brown.The major positive expression of IGF-1R in lung squamous cell carcinoma located in cytoplasm and cell membrane,which indicated brown.2.Compared with adjacent lung tissue,GPC3 show high expression in lung squamous cell carcinoma,and the positive expression rate of them were 46.9%,significant higher than that of adjacent lung tissues.In lung squamous cell carcinoma tissues,the expression of GPC3 is closely related to histologic grade(P<0.05),but not to age,gender,smoking,lymphatic metastasis and TNM stage.3.Compared with adjacent lung tissue,IGF-1R show high expression in lung squamous cell carcinoma,and the positive expression rate of them were 63.3%,significant higher than that of adjacent lung tissues.In lung squamous cell carcinoma tissues,the expression of IGF-1R is closely related to lymphatic metastasis and TNM stage(P < 0.05),but not to age,gender,smoking,histologic grade.Conclusion:The expression level of GPC3 and IGF-1R were higher in lung squamous cell carcinoma tissues than that of adjacent lung tissues,which involved in the carcinogenesis of lung squamous cell carcinoma.In lung squamous cell carcinoma tissues,the expression of GPC3 is closely related to histologic grade,the expression of IGF-1R is closely related to lymphatic metastasis and TNM stage.It suggested that GPC3 and IGF-1R may be involved in the development and metastasis of lung squamous cell carcinoma.The combined detection of GPC3 and IGF-1R could be useful to guide early clinical diagnosis,evaluate biologic behavior and determine the prognosis of lung squamous cell carcinoma.
