Objective The changes of CD4(Th1 / Th2 / Th17)cytokine levels in the transplanted and normal controls were compared by comparing the changes of sexual function, sex hormones and gonadotropin levels in 46 patients with hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for more than one year.To investigate the effect of Th1 / Th2 / Th17 cytokines on sex hormone levels after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Methods A total of 46 patients with hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT)were selected from January 2005 to May 2014 at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, and 52 patients were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University Affiliated hospital physical examination center of the normal physical examination as a control group. At the same time, the patients after transplantation were divided into two groups: sexual dysfunction group and normal sexual function group.(TSH,LH)and cytokines(IL-2,IFN,TNF,IL-4,IL-6,IL-10,IL-17 and IL-6)were detected in all subjects IL-23)were analyzed by IBM SPSS Statistics 16.0 software.Thedifferences between groups were compared by independent sample t test,Mann-Whitney rank test or chi-square test. The correlation analysis was performed using Spearman rank correlation,0.05 for the difference was statistically significant.Results(1)Of forty-five patients after transplation,25 cases had sexual dysfunction(54.3%),male sexual dysfunction 5 cases(10.8%)and females sexual dysfunction 20 cases(43.5%),male sexual dysfunction accounted for20.8%(5/24)of the male transplant recipients, and female sexual dysfunction accounted for 90.9% of female transplant recipients(20/22 cases).(2)The levels of testosterone and estradiol in sexual dysfunction group were lower than those in normal function group,FSH and LH levels were higher than those in normal function group, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).The levels of Th1 cytokines(IL-2)and Th2 cytokines(IL-4)in the functional group were significantly higher than those in the normal group(P <0.05).(3)The levels of Th1 cytokines(IFN)and Th2 cytokines(IL-4)in male sexual dysfunction group were higher than those in normal function group(P <0.05).(4)The levels of testosterone, estradiol,FSH and LH had no correlation with the levels of Th1cytokines(IL-2,IFN,TNF),(IL-2,IFN-?),Th2 cytokines(IL-4,IL-6,IL-10)and Th17 cytokines(IL-17,IL-23)(P> 0.05).Conclusion There are more common gonadal dysfunction after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, accompanied by abnormal secretion of sex hormones, which may be related to the reconstructed immune system Th1?Th2 and Th17 after transplantation.
