Objective Using iodine-based material decomposition technique of dualenergy CT to explore normalized iodine concentration for evalution of T-s taging of esophageal cancer and provide new methods and reference index for clinical assessment befor treatment.Materials and methods 33 patients confirmed by pathologic examinatio n between September 2015 and March 2017 in the First Affiliated Hospit al of Guangxi Medical University were chosen. All the patients received t he enhancement scanning of the second generation of Germany Siemens 64 storey dual-source CT scanner(Siemens Somatom definition definition flash)within ten days before pathologic examination.Respectively measures the length and, thickness and normalized iodine concentration of lesions.t he T staging of cases were grouped according to the pathological results;c umulative Logit model was used to analyze the factors influencing the Tst aging of esophageal cancer.the correlation between T stage and NIC and length were analysised by Spearman rank correlation.One-way ANOVAa nd mutiple comparisons were used to analyze the NIC in each group.Usi ng the Receiver Operating Characteristic curve(ROC curve)to evaluate th e diagnostic efficacy of each stage by NIC.Results1?Logistic regression analysis: Normalized Iodine Concentration(NIC)a nd the thickness of the main lesion are the influencing factors of T stagi ng of esophageal cancer(p=0.004,0.038),but the length is not(p=0.261).2?Spearman rank correlation analysis: The T staging of esophageal can cer is positively correlated with the NIC and thickness of the main lesion and lesion length. The higher the stage, the higher the NIC,the greater the thickness and the longer length(rs=0.661,0.685,0.459,P<0.05).3?One-way ANOVA analysis: The difference of NIC between T2,T3 phase and T4 phase are statistically significant(p<0.05).T2 stage: 0.334±0.069,T3 stage: 0.396±0.069,T4 stage: 0.518±0.072.4?ROC curve: With the NIC=0.346,0.489 as the differential diagnostic threshold of T2-3 and T3-4 staging,The sensitivity are respectively 77.8%?71.4%,specificity are respectively 75%?92.9%,Area under the curv e(AUC)are 0.757?0.888 respectively. Conclusion Normalized Iodine Concentration(NIC)and the thickness of the lesion are the influencing factors of T staging of esophageal cancer,NIC between T2,T3 and T4 are different statistically, which could be us ed as a reference index for evaluating it.
