At present, the quality of cervical bone milling depends mostly on the doctor's skills and practical experience, and the operation has high risk. There are many differences between the milling of the cervical spine and the metal milling,especially in the milling process, which results in the necrosis of the bone tissue and the thermal damage of the adjacent nerve tissue. Studies have shown that the activity of bone tissue is closely related to temperature and duration of high temperature.High temperature results in rapid decrease of enzyme activity. Meanwhile, high temperature can cause dehydration and death of bone cells. Because of the bone tissue and other tissues are sensitive to temperature; the cervical vertebra model complex, milling temperature changes complex; cervical bone tissue material belongs to non homogeneous materials,difficult to find out the rules of heat transfer,the mechanism of cervical bone milling for basic research, so that the doctor on the thermal injury of cervical bone during surgery a quantitative perception is intuitive cervical vertebra surgery research focus.The cervical vertebra milling heat problem, first of all, the visualization of cervical vertebra medical scanning CT data, by the combination of Mimics,Geomagic and other software, the cervical vertebrae model into the details of the optimization to meet the needs of finite element analysis, through UG skeleton 3D model, 3D model can be derived. Secondly, by studying the theory of milling heat transfer and drawing on the theory of moving heat source, the single edge milling is equivalent to the moving continuous heating source. A heat transfer model suitable for milling is established. Then, the heat transfer model based on the definition of bone milling, skeletal material model, the milling process of bone by using DEFORM finite element analysis, the cervical vertebra milling temperature and milling force and milling depth, milling speed at the same time, the relationship between the distribution of milling temperature in depth on the bone after milling to do research the variation of the surface temperature of the vertebrae, neck with visual presentation. Finally, the relationship between cervical bone milling temperature and the milling parameters based on the training of all kinds of factors which affect the milling temperature using MATLAB neural network toolbox, neural network prediction model can be established between the milling temperature variation of the complex with the milling parameters, the model can accurately predict the milling temperature based on cervical vertebra.Organization of severe thermal injury caused by this research to prevent cervical vertebra bone milling temperature is too high, which has important significance in improving the milling surface quality; and through the simulation analysis of the relationship between the cutting parameters and milling temperature,provide a reasonable scheme for doctors to implement efficient low loss milling; also provide a theoretical basis for optimization of diagnosis and treatment of vertebral bone surgery evaluation and treatment.
