Background: Human platelet specific antigen(HPA)gene polymorphisms was closely related to the pathogenesis of immune thrombocytopenia(ITP).A lot of researches of HPA gene polymorphisms of ITP patients and health human have been done home and abroad and significant differentce was confirmed between groups which was regional and race-related?Objective:To investigate the relationship between HPA-1~6,15 systems genetic polymorphism and ITP in Jiangxi province.Methods: Polymerase chain reaction-specific sequence primers(PCR-SSP)was used to genotype HPA-1~6 and 15 in the ITP group(n=112)and the health control group(n=112);2)The HPA-1~6,15 systems genetic polymorphism was analyzed and compared between ITP group and health control group.Results:(1)The allele frequencies of HPA-15 was significantly different between the ITP group and control group(P<0.05).The frequency of HPA-15 a in ITP group was lower than that in control group(41.52% vs 52.17%),and the frequency of HPA-15 b was higher than that in the control group(58.48%vs 47.83%);(2)The frequencies of other alleles showed no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05);(3)There were one patient found to be HPA-1a/1b heterozygous among the ITP group which was equal to control group,and one homozygoteHPA-4a/4b was found in ITP group which was equal to control group;(4)Both ITP group and control group were detected HPA-3b/3b,HPA-15b/15 b homozygous genotypes,while HPA-3b allele frequency has no statistical significance(P > 0.05).Conclusion:(1)There was a possible association between the HPA-15 alleles and ITP.The HPA-15 b may be a risk factor forpatients with ITP,while HPA-15 a may be a favorable factor for patients with ITP;(2)There was no relevance between the HPA-1~6 and ITP;(3)There was a possible association between the HPA-2b,4b alleles and ITP patients of Jiangxi province;(4)The chance of HPA3 and 15 antigen incompatibility in random platelet transfusion is quite high,we should take a lot of attentions to platelet transfusion.
