Objective:The structural and functional parameters of left ventricle were evaluated by 1.5T cardiac magnetic resonance imaging to assessment the whole cardiac function of patients with dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM),in order to discuss the value of 1.5T MRI in studying cardiovascular diseases. Methods:Forty patients with DCM and twenty-five normal subjects underwent 1.5T cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. The volumes, diameters and sphericial index of the left ventricle in end systolic and end diastolic phase, and ejection fraction were measured. And the brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)and NAYA class within the same time were collected.1.Comparing the differences of structural and functional parameters of left ventricle between DCM and the normal subjects, and analyzing the correlation between the structural and functional parameters of DCM.2.Using structural and functional parameters of left ventricle with DCM to draw ROC curve, and evaluating the diagnostic value to DCM.3.Analyzing the correlation between the functional parameters of left ventricle and NAYA class of the DCM.4.Analyzing the correlation between BNP and NAYA class of the DCM.5.Analyzing the correlation between the functional parameters of left ventricle and BNP of the DCM.6.Analyzing the main cardiac magnetic resonance imaging findings of patients with DCM.Results:1.There is a good correlation between the structural and functional parameters of left ventricle of the DCM.And all this parameters showed high diagnostic value to DCM.2.LVEF decreased with the worsened NAYA class.According to Spearman correlation, there was negative correlation between LVEF and NAYA class(r=-0.493,P=0.001).3.According to Spearman correlation, there was negative correlation between LVEF and Lg BNP(r=-0.513,P=0.001).4.According to Spearman correlation, there was positive correlation between Lg BNP and NAYA class(r=0.568,P=0.00).5.The 31 cases(77.5%)in DCM showed myocardial delayed enhancement, which showed subendcardial and mid-myocardial delayed enhancement totally 231 segments, which mostly takes place in the basal and/or mid-cavity segments of ventricular septum. Conclusion:CMRI is the “golden standard” in measuring the cardiac structural and functional parameters, and it is feasible to evaluate the heart function of patients with DCM.The 1.5T CMRI can directly show the size and shape of heart, cardiac function, lesion's site, range and degree of dilated cardiomyopathy.Comprehensive analyzing of structure and function parameters of DCM,combining with NAYA class and plasma markers such as BNP can acquire accurate and comprehensive information of dilated cardiomyopathy and provide effective basis for clinical treatment and prognosis.
