Objective:To Analyze the risk factors of coronary artery calcification of the patients with peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis, evaluate the different influences between peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis that would affect the coronary artery calcification of end stage renal disease patients. Methods:Collected the clinical materials of the patients with regularly hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis at least six months, evaluted the coronary artery calcification with multislice spiral CT. Analyzed the risk factors of coronary artery calcification by logistic regression analysis, then compared the differences of coronary artery calcification between dialysis modalities.Results:1.A total of 171 patients were analyzed, 100(58.48%) male and 71(41.52%)female,with a mean age of (51.70 ±12.47) years, the median duration of dialysis was 13 months, coronary artery calcification was found in 69 patients(40.35%).Smoking,diabetic nephropathy, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and high sensitivity C-reactive protein were the main risk factors of coronary artery calcification in dialysis patients. The patients with hemodialysis were easier to get coronary artery calcification than peritoneal dialysis patients.2.One hundred and one patients with peritoneal dialysis, including 55(55.45%) male and 45(44.55%) female, with a mean age of (50.60±12.27)years, the median duration of dialysis was 16 months,31(30.69%) patients had coronary artery calcification. Smoking, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and high sensitivity C-reactive protein were the main risk factors of coronary artery calcification in this group.3.Seventy patients with hemodialysis, including 44(62.86%) male and 26(37.14%) female, with a mean age of (53.30±12.68) years, the median duration of dialysis was 12 months,38(54.2%) patients had coronary artery calcification. The dialysis duration and age were the main risk factors of coronary artery calcification in this group.Conclusions:1 .Coronary artery calcification in dialysis patients have high incidence.Smoking, diabetic nephropathy,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and high sensitivity C-reactive protein are the risk factors of coronary artery calcification.2.The hemodialysis patients have higher incidence of coronary artery calcification than peritoneal dialysis patients.3.Smoking, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and high sensitivity C-reactive protein are the main risk factors of coronary artery calcification in peritoneal dialysis patients.4.The dialysis duration and age are the main risk factors of coronary artery calcification in hemodialysis patients.
