Initial Treatment Tuberculosis Treated By Integrated Chinese And Western Medicine: A Meta-anaiysis

Objective Conducting a meta-anaiysis to evaluate the efficacy of integrated Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of active tuberculosis.Methods Medical database including CNKI,wanfang data,Chinese scientific periodical full text database,Pubmed were searched about treatment of active tuberculosis by the integeated Chinese and western medicine,correlated randomized contrlled clinical trials(RCTs)comparing integrated Chinese and western medicine with regular western medicine were screened out from the searched literatures,RevMan5.3 was used for meta-analysis.The analysis included odds ratio(OR)for enummerationdata.Results 974 literatures about active tuberculosis were found and remaining 325 after eliminate duplicate literatures,and 40RCTs literature were screened out.16RCTs including 3100 cases were eneolled for analysis according to the eligibility and exclusion criteria.Compared to western treatment alone,the results of combination traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine treatment showed as follows:1.The efficacy rate of 2 month after the sputum negative conversion in treatmentgroup is great than in control group,OR=2.52,95%CI 1.64?3.87,Z=4.23,P<0.01,2.The efficacy rate of treating 2 month void closure in treatmentgroup is great than in control group,OR=3.87,95%CI 1.91?7.83,Z=5.62,P<0.013.The efficacy rate of treating 2 month X-ray focus absorption in treatmentgroup is great than in control group,OR=2.52,95%CI 1.64?3.87,Z=4.23,P<0.01,4.The efficacy rate of 6 month after the sputum negative conversion in treatmentgroup is great than in control group,OR=4.3,95%CI 2.78-6.65,Z=6.54,P<0.015.The efficacy rate of treating 6 month void closure in treatmentgroup is great than in control group,OR=2.24,95%CI 1.46-3.44,Z=3.68,P<0.016.The efficacy rate of treating 6 month X-ray focus absorption in treatmentgroup is great than in control group,OR=3.49,95%CI 2.47-4.94,Z=7.08,P<0.017.The efficacy rate in treatment group(93.8%)is great than in control group(80.7),OR=3.32,95%CI 2.15?5.14,ConclusionsThe association of tradional Chinese medicine with western medicine treatment is superior to western medicine treatment alone.
