Objective:To investigate whether the plasmacytoma variant translocation 1 gene(PVT1)and the engulfment and cell motility 1 gene(ELM01)polymorphism is associated with a high risk of Xinjiang Uygur diabetic kidney disease.Methods:The allele frequency and the genotype distribution of the PVT1 rs13447075(A/C)?rs2648875(A/G)and the ELM01 rs10951509(A/G)? rs2717972(A/G)polymorphism were studied in normal controls(80cases),simple diabetes(84cases),and diabetic kidney disease(97cases)by means of PCR sequencing technology.Results:Patients with diabetic kidney disease had a higher frequency of A allele of the rs13447075 polymorphism than that of normal controls and simple diabetes(P < 0.05);but there was no significant difference in frequency of G allele between the normal controls and patients with simple diabetes.There was no significant difference in frequency of G allele between the diabetic kidney disease and simple diabetes and normal controls of the rs2648875 polymorphism in the PVT1 genes.Patients with diabetic kidney disease had a higher frequency of G allele of the ELM01 rs10951509 polymorphism than that of normal controls and simple diabetes(P<0.05);but there was no significant difference in frequency of G allele between the normal controls and patients with simple diabetes.Patients with diabetic kidney disease and simple diabetes had a higher frequency of G allele of the ELM01 rs2717972 polymorphism than that of normal controls(P < 0.05);but there was no significant difference in frequency of G allele between the diabetic kidney disease and patients with simple diabetes in the ELMO1 genes.Conclusion:The patients with PVT1 rs13447075 allele may be more susceptible to diabetic kidney disease than diabetic patients with G allele,but bot PVT1 rs2648875.The patients with ELM01 rs10951509 allele may be more susceptible to diabetic kidney disease than diabetic patients with G allele.And the rs2717972 G allele may be common susceptible genes to diabetic kidney disease and diabetic patients.
