Objesctive: To retrospectively analyze the clinical characteristics and ultrasonographic features of 319 case with breast nodules(??2cm)of ultrasonic BI-RADS category 3,and explore the risk factors for clinical intervention in order to improve the level of clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods: Selected from September2014 to August 2016 in Xinjiang Medical University, the fifth affiliated hospital 319 cases by the primary ultrasound grade BI-RADS category 3 breast nodules(??2cm)were followed up.The initial US images were retrospectively reviewed according to previously published criteria, and evaluated several factors that could influence the progression of breast lesions in clinical practice such as age, reproductive status, whether menopause, whether family history of breast cancer, whether the history of benign breast disease, number of lesions, age at menarche and body mass index(BMI).Application of statistical software SPSS17.0 statistical processing, inspection level ?=0.05.By chi-square test comparing between groups of related factors, screening was statistically significant factors included in the regession model,multi-factor analysis using Logistic regression model. Results: According to the single factor in disease of 319 cases clinical data of BI-R ADS category 3 breast nodules of analysis showed that age, menopause, single nodule, located in the upper outer quadrant, the age of menarche<12 years, previous history of benign breast tumor has significant influence on disease progression(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant. The multiple factor logistic regression analysis showed that menopause and single nodules had a significant effect on the progression of breast disease(P<0.05).Among the 319 patients who were followed up,there were 122 cases of disease progression. In 122 cases, there were malignant in 15 cases and benign lesions in 107 cases.Univariate analysis showed that clinical correlation with unclear boundary, edge less regular and the age of menarche<12 years and BMI index>25Kg/m2 had significant effects on the progression of benign and malignant disease(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant; The multiple factor logistic regression analysis showed that unclear boundary and edge less regular had a significant effect on the progression of benign and malignant disease(P<0.05).Conclusion: The patient's ultrasonic boundary is not clear and the edge is not regular are risk factors for grade 3BI-RADS malignancy. But the age, menopause, nodules, located in the upper outer quadrant, menarche age<12 and previous history of benign breast are risk factors for disease progression in BI-RADS category 3 breast nodules.who have the above risk factors should take clinical intervention;if necessary, surgical treatment.Follow-up observation is not recommended for the patients to avoid aggravating the disease process.
