Objective:The aim of study is to investigate the status of the primiparas' breastfeeding self-efficacy,analyze the effect of nursing interventions based on the model of information-motivation-behavioral skills for primiparas' breastfeeding self-efficacy,clarify the concrete implementation means of the nursing interventions based on the model of information-motivation-behavioral skills, and provide the evidence of the nursing interventions which advance primiparas' breastfeeding self-efficacy.Methods:This study chose the 120 primiparas from the first hospital of Jilin university from January to June 2016,the 60 primiparas from January to March as the control group, and the 60 primiparas from April to June as the experimental group.Routine care and health education was provided in the control group. In addition, the nursing interventions based on the model of information-motivation-behavioral skills were provided in the experimental group.Investigate all primiparas for base-line data, and evaluate the effect of the projection at the 42 nd day and the fourth month of the birth. The breastfeeding self-efficacy form, breastfeeding knowledge questionnaire and breastfeeding behavior questionnaire were used to evaluate the breastfeeding self-efficacy,breastfeeding knowledge and exclusive breastfeeding rate.Results:1.Before the nursing intervention base-line data: There were no statistically significant differences in general information, antenatal breastfeeding self-efficacy scores and breastfeeding knowledge scores between two groups(P>0.05).2.The effect of IMB on the breastfeeding self-efficacy: Compared the level of breastfeeding self-efficacy scores between two groups showed that: there wasstatistically significant difference in breastfeeding self-efficacy and its two factors at the forty-second day and the fourth month of the birth(P<0.05).The scores of in the experimental group were higher than the control group.the main time effect and main intervention effect were statistically significant(P<0.05)on breastfeeding self-efficacy scores and there exist interaction between the interference factor and time factor.there was no statistically significant difference in breastfeeding self-efficacy and its two factors in the control group before and after intervention(P>0.05),there was statistically significant difference in breastfeeding self-efficacy and its two factors in the experimental group before and after intervention(P<0.05).3.The effect of IMB on the breastfeeding knowledge and behavior:There was statistically significant difference in breastfeeding knowledge and behavior at the forty-second day and the fourth month of the birth(P<0.05).The scores of in the experimental group were higher than the control group.4.The effect of IMB on the exclusive breastfeeding rate:There were statistically significant difference in the exclusive breastfeeding rate at the forty-second day and the fourth month of the birth(P<0.05).The exclusive breastfeeding rate in the experimental group were higher than the control group.Conclusion:1.The nursing interventions based on the model of information-motivationbehavioral skills can provide support and assistance to the primiparas, enhance breastfeeding self-efficacy;improve the skill dimensions and the internal dimensions?2.The nursing interventions based on the model of information-motivationbehavioral skills can improve the primiparas' breastfeeding knowledge and behavior.3.The nursing interventions based on the model of information-motivationbehavioral skills can increase the primiparas' exclusive breastfeeding rate and prolong the breastfeeding time.
