Clinical Study And Safety Evaluation On Jeigeng Baihu Granule In Treatment Of Childhood Acute Suppurative Tonsillitis (Excessiveness Of The Stomach-fire)

Objective: To evaluate of the clinical curative effect of Jiegeng Baihu granule in treatment of childhood acute suppurative tonsillitis(excessiveness of the stomach-fire),and preliminary evaluation of it's safety by acute toxicity test,to provide the basis for clinical application.Methods:(1)Clinical Research: 60 children included in the diagnostic code were divided randomly into two groups-experimental group(Jeigeng Baihu granule,30 cases)and control group(clavulanic acid-amoxicillin(7:1),30 cases).Oral medication was observed of1~2courses of treatment(A course of 3 days).Before and after the symptom scores of two groups were recorded and compared,Scientific evaluate of the clinical curative effect of Jeigeng Baihu granule.(2)Acute Toxicity Test: Firstly,test the LD50 of the mice by preliminary experiment.Secondly,test the daily maximum of mice by maximum tolerance dose,to preliminary evaluate the safety of the Jeigeng Baihu granule.Results:(1)Clinical Research: Jiegeng Baihu granule can effectively promote the absorption of children tonsil secretion purulent exudate,and the dissipation of congested throat,the clinical symptoms of eating less and constipation were improved.(1)Post-treatment scales scores in the two groups were both lower than those of pre-treatment(P<0.05),it means that two groups treatment are effective.(2)The total effective rate of the therapeutic group and control group was separately 93.3% and 86.7%,found no statistical significance(P>0.05).(3)Experimental group post-treatment scales scores that consist of diagnostic total integral and main integral were lower than control group(P<0.05).(4)Experimental group post-treatment scales scores that consist of the absorption of children tonsil secretion purulent exudate and the dissipation of congested throat were lower than control group(P<0.05).(5)Experimental group post-treatment scales scores that consist of tonsil appearance,diet,shit were lower than control group(P<0.05).(6)Two groups in improving symptoms,include pharyngalgia,dyscatabrosis,complexion,labial color,thirst level,blood count analysis results before and after treatment were uniform.(7)Experimental group does not appear adverse reaction during the treatment,control group have three cases adverse reactions of pulpy excrement,nausea,eating less,there was no statistically significant difference.(2)Acute Toxicity Test: There were no mice dead during the test within 24 hours.The maximum administration dose for mice was 200.0 times the clinical dose for an adult.Conclusion: Based on characteristics of clinical study and acute toxicity teston Jeigeng Baihu granuleand,Show that the characteristics of white particles for effective agent in treatment of childhood acute suppurative tonsillitis(excessiveness of the stomach-fire),and This granuleand has no obvious side effects and adverse reactions,It's safely and effective in clinical application,and is worthy of clinical popularization and application...
