| Object:Put forward the DWI(diffusion weighted imaging)-syngo RESOLVE(Readout Segmentation Of Long Variable Echo-trains),emphasize its better performance and high quality images, then study the characteristics and the role of DWI-syngo RESOLVE in the clinical application cervical spondylotic myelopathy(CSM).Materials and Methods:Cervical T1 WI 、 T2 WI 、 ss-EPI DWI and RESOLVE-DWI were performed in 62 patients with cervical spondylotic myelopathy diagnosed by clinical and radiological findings, and 30 healthy volunteers without cervical spondylotic myelopathy. The quality of images of ss-EPI DWI and RESOLVE-DWI were compared in many ways, including Signal to Noise Ration(SNR),image resolution and the deformation extent. The features of RESOLVE-DWI were analyzed and the apparent diffusion coeffient(ADC)values were calculated.ROC curves were drawn to evaluated the degree of accuracy in diagnosing CSM.Results:Compared to the ss-EPI DWI,RESOLVE-DWI had more remarkableimage quality with less artifacts and inconspicuous deformation, showing more accurate anatomical structure.Among 62 CSM patients,19 of them were showed hyperintensity on T2WI;there are 59 patients showed abnormal DWI and ADC values with hypointensity and isointensity in RESOLVE-DWI.Through the research of T2 WI and RESOLVE-DWI sequences, the latter sequence showed higher sensitivity and accuracy in diagnosing CSM.Conclusion:RESOLVE-DWI could offer high image qualities.RESOLVE-DWI proved to have higher sensitivity and accuracy in the diagnosis of CSM than using conventional T2 WI alone in early period. |
