Objective:To compare the effect of low temperature plasma radiofrequency and traditional vocal cord mucosal stripping in the treatment of vocal cord leukoplakia, and to observe the surgical features and advantages of low temperature plasma radiofrequency treatment of vocal cord leukoplakia under laryngoscopy.Methods:Sixty-two patients with vocal cord leukoplakia were retrospectively analyzed in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery of Dalian Central Hospital. After exclusion of some patients,a total of 54 patients participated in the study All patients had the same preoperative and postoperative symptomatic treatment, postoperative review and frequency of the same,of which 30 cases underwent low temperature plasma radiofrequency surgery(Plasma radiofrequency group),24 cases underwent vocal mucosal stripping(Traditional group).Comparison the time of operation, the volume of intraoperative blood loss, the time of pseudomembranous off,the VAS score before operation, the Chinese version of the VHI score, the evaluation results of the voice(Jitter.Shimmer and NNE)and the cure rate and recurrence rate. Two groups of patients were followed up for 9 months to 2 yearsResults:The volume of intraoperative blood loss, the time of pseudomembranous off,the evaluation results of the voice, the Chinese version of the VHI score and the VAS score postoperative operation between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05)in the time of operation.Low temperature plasma surgery has less bleeding, lower postoperative pain, better voice quality in the treatment of vocal cord leukoplakia. Conclusion:Plasma radiofrequency group had higher cure rate and lower postoperative recurrence rate than traditional group.Low temperature plasma heat damage is small, less bleeding, surgical field clear, easy to control the scope of surgery, surgical operation is simple, more sophisticated treatment,is worthy of a wide range of treatment of vocal cord leukoplakia as minimally invasive surgery.
