| Object:This study aims to investigate the relationship between the benign prostatic hyperplasia and related indexes of middle-aged men with type2diabetes(T2DM).Method:Randomly selected 100 male T2 DM patients aged from 40 to 60 during 2015.10-2016.10 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou university. All men were diagnosed with T2 DM according to the diagnostic crietia for diabetes drawn up by WHO in 1999.The prostatic volumes of all patients were measured by the special ultrasound doctor.According to whether the patients had the BPH or not,all men were divided into two groups.Detected the total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, triglyceride, fasting blood glucose, fasting C peptide, sex hormone binding globulin,follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, estradiol, prolactin, total testosterone of all members.Homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance,Homeostasis model of βcell function, free testosterone were calculated by the relevant formulas. Then explored the relationship between the benign prostatic hyperplasia and related indexes of middle-aged men with type2 diabetes.Results:(1)Comparison between the T2 DM with and without BPH group: The age,HbA1 c,HOMA-IR(CP)in T2 DM with BPH group were significantly higher than the T2 DM without BPH group,[(50.33±4.46 vs 47.53±6.94)years old,(8.91±1.98 vs 7.95±1.17)%,(3.26±0.82 vs 2.86±0.61),P<0.05];there were no significantly difference between two groups in HOMA-islet(CP),TC,LDL-C,TG,HDL-C,BMI(P<0.05).(2)Comparison between the T2 DM with and without BPH group: TT,FT in T2 DM with BPH group were significantly lower than the T2 DM without BPH group,[(13.92±5.43 vs 17.15±7.63)nmol/L,(0.31±0.12 vs 0.40±0.16)nmol/L,P<0.05];E2/FT in T2 DM with BPH group was significantly higher than the T2 DM without BPH group,[(106.55±58.22 vs 72.52±33.82),P<0.05];FSH,LH,E2,PRL showed a gradually rising tendency [(28.60±9.08 vs 27.23±8.00)mIU/ml,(5.78±3.17 vs 5.61±2.72)mIU/ml,(5.21±2.20 vs 4.82±2.20)pg/ml,(15.61±9.92 vs 15.31±8.25)ng/ml],but no significant difference(P>0.05).(3)Binary logistic regression analysis showed age,FT,HbA1 c,HOMA-IR(CP)were risk factors of BPH.Conclusion:In middle-aged patients with type 2 diabetes,Advanced age, degradation of FT,elevation of E2/FT,high blood glucose and insulin resistance can promote the progress of BPH. |
